Naturally aged Cascara Sagrada is a traditional digestive support herbal supplement passed down from Native American Indians to Spanish explorers in the 1600’s. Its health benefits stem primarily from the active ingredient emodin and its healthy inflammation level supporting anthraquinones. Most cascara products today use chemical processes and heat treatments that diminish the beneficial effects and are harsh on the digestive tract. That’s why we use only pure and properly aged cascara to maximize the thyroid-benefits and improve your gut health. Plus, it’s easy to use.
Contains 15 grams / 15,000 mg (70 – 200 servings depending on dosing) of pure, aged “sacred bark” cascara sagrada powder. Other ingredients include: maltodextrin.
Start with 1/2 to 1 scoop (35 - 70 mg) daily and increase gradually as needed to clear up constipation. Adjust the dosage as needed for one to two weeks for consistent results. If needed, multi-dose by taking multiple times daily.

I started using Cascara Sagrada powder about a month ago. It works! However, I don't take it everyday. I take it when I feel I need to. A couple of times I took 3 scoops throughout the day as directed and had no problems. Then I tried taking one scoop at bed time with one magnesium glycinate pill. The next morning I woke up and took a drink of water and minutes later I was going to the restroom. The taste is a little strong but its ok because I take a slip of juice right after to help with the taste. I think putting the powder in pill form would have been better but I would imagine that would be hard for the company to do so because the dose is different for everyone. Nevertheless, it's worth giving it a try. Thanks Forefront!

The taste strong and product is effective.
I had an issue with constipation due to my hyperthyroidism. I got this product on a Saturday and took it that night and everything was fine by Monday! I was pleasantly surprised how quick it worked. I will continue to use this product as needed.
