It all comes down to your thyroid health...
Your thyroid is responsible for controlling and regulating a large number of functions within your body including: metabolism & heat production, circulatory system & blood volume, muscular health, nerve health, digestive health, and the health of every cell, tissue, and organ.
...Every Cell. Every Tissue. And Every Organ...
You see, every cell in your body depends on thyroid hormone to function properly?! Consequently, without adequate thyroid hormone, every cell, tissue, and organ throughout your entire body suffers, along with your metabolism.
So, without getting into the details of how thyroid health impacts your overall health (that would take way too long), let's simply use this as a lens through which we can view the symptoms and the causes that led to the issues in the first place....
Cause: Every cell in your body relies on thyroid hormone to produce energy and remain healthy. But, if your cells aren't getting the thyroid hormone they need, they produce less energy, which leads to feelings of tiredness and sluggishness.
Survey Results: More than 55.3% of customers come to us suffering from ongoing fatigue.
Cause: If your cells can't get the amount of thyroid hormone they need to produce energy, your metabolism slows. And a slow metabolism can lead to unexpected weight gain.
But, as we say here at Forefront Health, you don't lose weight to fix your thyroid, you fix your thyroid to lose weight.
Survey Results:Â On average, 52.6% of our customers come to us saying this issue bothers them the most.
Cause:If you suffer from hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's disease, then you most certainly have an estrogen problem. And it's excessive estrogen or estrogen dominance that can lead to severe menopausal symptoms and infertility issues.
Survey Results:Â 51.2% of our customers come to us suffering from severe menopausal symptoms like hot flashes or irregular periods.
Cause: Mental fog or brain fog all boils down to energy production and heat...
Your brain requires an enormous amount of fuel to function. But, when you become hypothyroid... (1) your liver, muscles, and brain don't store fuel (glycogen) well at all, (2) you become deficient in thyroid hormone, (3) you develop a damaged metabolism, and (4) blood flow decreases to all of your cells, including your brain.
And when energy production in your brain declines along with brain temperature (because the production of energy results in the production of heat), you develop "Cold Brain Syndrome", which is one of the primary causes of brain fog.
Survey Results:Â 48.8% of our customers come to us suffering from some form of mental fog.
Cause: Hypothyroidism can lead to joint pain and arthritis as a result of a blockage along your Thyroid Hormone Pathway and an imbalance in a group of hormones called glucocorticoids.
Survey Results:Â Approximately 48.5% of our customers come to us struggling with joint & muscle pain.
Cause:When you become hypothyroid, your liver loses the ability to produce and store glycogen. But, your body relies on glycogen, especially at night when you don't eat for a long period of time, to prevent your blood sugar from crashing.
This drop in blood sugar (as a result of very little glycogen storage) triggers the activation of your stress response, where we oftentimes see surges of adrenaline. And it's these surges of adrenaline that wake you up and prevent you from falling back asleep.
Survey Results:Â 35.8% of our customers come to us suffering from some form of sleep apnea.
Cause: When it comes to hypothyroidism, there are many hormonal effects that contribute to constipation. Four of the biggest factors include: (1) chronic stress & inflammation, (2) estrogen dominance, (3) bacterial endotoxin, and (4) low metabolism.
And filling yourself with fiber or drowning yourself with water are not answers to those of you suffering from constipation, sorry.
Survey Results:Â Around 36.9% of our customers come to us suffering from digestive issues.
Cause:Collagen production naturally declines with age, but it's even lower in those suffering from hypothyroidism & Hashimoto's thyroiditis. You see, hypothyroidism promotes the overproduction of three different hormones (cortisol, estrogen, and serotonin) that promote stress and stress hormone production due to what we call thyroid-suppressive feedback cycles.  And it's these thyroid-suppressive feedback cycles, among other factors, that lead to issues like thinning hair, dry skin, and brittle nails.Â
Survey Results:Â 42.0% of our customers come to us struggling with hair, skin, & nail issues.
Cause: Many causes of hypothyroidism also influence mood issues, especially depression, in several ways, including: (1) low cholesterol, (2) vitamin A deficiency, (3) elevated serotonin, (4) poor thyroid hormone conversion, (5) poor metabolism, (6) elevated estrogen, (7) progesterone deficiency, (8) elevated endotoxin, and the list goes on. So for those of you suffering from any of these symptoms, odds are there's a clear connection that links thyroid health to the mood issues you might be encountering.
And it doesn't help that hypothyroidism promotes the overproduction of three different hormones (cortisol, estrogen, and serotonin) that promote stress and stress hormone production due to what we call thyroid-suppressive feedback cycles...Â
Â
Survey Results:Â 36.9% of our customers come to us struggling with ongoing mood issues.
Cause: As mentioned above, hypothyroidism promotes the production of cortisol, estrogen, and serotonin. And it's the overproduction of these thyroid-suppressive stress hormones that leads to all sorts of issues like (1) premature cell death, especially in the brain, (2) accelerated breakdown & wasting of healthy tissue, and (3) increased levels of stress, which can lead to decreased libido (among other things).
Survey Results:Â 32.6% of our customers come to us with decreased levels of intimacy and libido.

According to the American Thyroid Association, there are an estimated 20 million Americans suffering from some form of thyroid disease at this very moment. And that doesn't include those that have been misdiagnosed or undiagnosed altogether!
In fact, around 60% of those suffering from some form of thyroid disease aren't even aware of their condition.
And although thyroid conditions affect both men and women, women are 20 times more likely to develop a thyroid condition at some point during their lives... But, men are catching up due to a variety of environmental factors and the rise of exclusion diets.Â
Yet, perhaps the worse part is that most of the advice out there about hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's thyroiditis is dead wrong!
Unfortunately, most people waste years or even decades of their lives focusing on the tip of the iceberg before realizing the information they were told and the medications they are on will never work.
What's important to understand is there's an entire Thyroid Hormone Pathway that exists, which your thyroid hormone must travel down before it ever gets to your cells.
And with hypothyroidism, your pathway becomes blocked on multiple levels preventing your thyroid hormone from ever reaching your cells.
But, we have the tools, resources, and solutions to help unblock your Thyroid Hormone Pathway, so you can get back to living the life you deserve.
By addressing the root cause, it is possible to live a life free from the symptoms commonly associated with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's thyroiditis and start feeling normal again.
And Forefront Health was founded to help thyroid sufferers do exactly that!
Your thyroid condition shouldn't control your life and prevent you from doing the activities you enjoy... And it doesn't have to!
We've spent years developing content, products, and programs to help you take back control of your thyroid health and start living a life free from the grip of hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's thyroiditis.Â
